Win98 registry problem
Hi all,
When I start my computer, a registry error comes and asks to restart the system, then I restart and it corrects the problem and then system works fine. This problem is coming with me very frequently. After one or two successful start, this prolem comes and wastes time.
Is there a way to correct it without re-installing Windows.
Thanks.

hi!
try to remove all of your programs that starts when you start the
computer.. both in the registry and autostart folder.. It might be
one of them that cause the problem?!?!

and there u se the registry and can access the keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

ok, I will keep using Windows with this registry error because if I reinstall windows, then I have to re-install all the softwares and I don't want to do this now. I will do this later on.
Anyway, if anyone of you know how to remove this error, please tell me.

Well , I've been using Ghost for the last three years . I did have to reinstall the OS and all the software again . Within five minutes or less the OS runs again better than before . Saves your time in very efficient and fast way ! It's worth a try .

Ghost is a backup tool that protects your data and OS from disaster ,You don't even need to make a boot disk. File restoration is simple from the comprehensive disk image.
Whenever something wrong happen to your sys , just run Ghost.exe , and after some minutes your sys running back to it's previous state . It restores all kind of files , everything even mouse position .

Do you use MSN Messenger?
Becasue I had a similiar problem and when I ran Norton Win Doctor is found a corrupt registry entry for Messenger. After I removed messenger and the entry I had zero problems.
