multiple IP addresses
Hi,
Can someone explain me what multiple IP addresses for a single domain name are good for?
Thanks,

Passive & Native support for use with Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
You can have multiple IP's for the same domain, so should one ever go down, the other server carries on where the other left off.
There are many other uses, but that's probably the most commonly used.
Regards,
Paul.

We use it in a round-robin for IRC servers. Connect to irc.zirc.org and you get redirected to the individual servers equally. Good for load balancing.
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".
