Hey guys.
I am here in China where there are no books on VB in English. I will be going to Hong Kong in a couple of weeks, where there are still all of the popular western titles for sale.
SO, the question is:
what do you all think are the best books for intermediate level Visual Basic?
also, any books out about the use of API strings in VB or the use of DirectX7 in VB?
Thanks

For API, try looking for Dan Appleman's Visual Basic Programmer's Guide to the Win32 API.
For a regular Visual Basic book, try Visual Basic From the Ground Up. I personally have not read it, but a friend of mine has and said it was great. Database and Packaging play a big roll in this book.
