    Sockets / UDP / ??? help!!

    Heres what I need to do...

    Send this string "\status\" to a certain IP and wait for the data back. But If no data comes for 5 seconds..timeoout and switch to the next IP

    I have tried the UDPClient..which works..but when it hits a server that wont respond...it waits...and waits.....
    just hangs the app.

    I need it to timeout..and I cannot for the life of me figure it out!
