    does anybody know how to put an shortcut icon on the desktop automatically, when installing a vb program to a computer. Is it done when creating the setup files?? or specified in the code??? alsowhen creating the shortcut how can you specificy an icon to be associated with it???????

    That option is given when you are packaging the software...try it out and see if it helps.
