    Opinions on this laptop

Not the latest and greatest, but here is an offer I came across.

Dell Latitude:P3-750 MHz, 256MB RAM, 20GB HDD, 14.1 TFT, CDROM Drive, LAN/modem combo.

    Price: $1180

First question: Considering the specs, is the price good enough?

Second question: I can tell this person not to put in the CDROM Drive, and I could purchase an internal CD Writer separately. What would be the cose of an internal CD Writer for a laptop?

Third question: Considering the specs, is it worth going for?

    Anyone?

It's an opinion question, not a question about nuclear physics.

Wouldn't that be USD or CAD (not CDN)?
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.

I think a much better decision would be to spend a little extra cash and go for a Toshiba Satellite 2410 series. $1,372.00

    Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor - M (2.0GHz)
    256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM
    15" XGA Display (1024 x 768)
    NVIDIA® Geforce4™ 420 Go™ GPU w/16MB memory
    40GB HDD (4200 rpm)
    Internal FDD
    DVD/CD-RW
Integrated V.92/56K modem and 10/100 Ethernet
    Microsoft® Windows® XP Pro
    3-USB (1.1) ports
    ECP Parallel Port
    TV-Out port
    10/100 Ethernet
    V.92/56K modem

Or if you want to spend a little less go for a Satellite 1410 series.
    $1,157.00

    Intel® Celeron® Processor (1.80GHz)
    256MB PC1600 DDR SDRAM
    15" XGA Display (1024 x 768)
    30GB HDD (4200 rpm)
    DVD/CD-RW
    Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
    3-USB (1.1) ports
    TV-Out port
    10/100 Ethernet
    V.92/56K modem

It's too much I guess to pay for such specifications . If you are concerned about price ,I've heard there are a lot of good LT less than $1000 . Look for them , maybe in ZNet or Yahoo .
