Component updates

Had to do a clean format/reinstall of WinXP Pro, am reinstalling studio.net, and can't find my 5th disk (updates). I can't remember what all it updates--Running XP, I've already got IE6, so do I just need to download the .net framework? What else do I need?

Everyone I know isn't using .net or else I'd just borrow the damn thing. Just trying not to call M$ and get another disk:)

i wouls assume that if you have the latest mdac, ie6, the .NET framework, an updated service pack, it should not need the update disk..I would hope anyway.

lol....it is funny that only the 5th disk is missing.....but the other 4 seem to be right there.... Did you just get done updating the components last time and chuck the disk?

I've actually got 1-4, 6, 7 sitting right here...Tore this place to shreds looking for that 5th disk, and nuthin'. Fortunately, updated to latest versions of everything, and it didn't ask for the disk :)

If these updates are so damned important, they should put the disk where I can find it when they're done installing them (passing blame is fun...).
