Vedic Maths--> u can calculate in a jiffy!!
hey friends,
U might have or mostly not have known the name
"Vedic Maths ".
its a way of fast calculation ..its just magical.
well i will show u some examples how r they carried out by Vedic Maths. -->
I] Multiplying numbers just over 100.
103 x 104 = 10712
The answer is in two parts: 107 and 12,
107 is just 103 + 4 (or 104 + 3),
and 12 is just 3 x 4.
Similarly 107 x 106 = 11342
107 + 6 = 113 and 7 x 6 = 42
II]Method for multiplying numbers where the first figures are the same and the last figures add up to 10.
32 x 38 = 1216
Both numbers here start with 3 and the last
figures (2 and 8) add up to 10.
So we just multiply 3 by 4 (the next number up)
to get 12 for the first part of the answer.
And we multiply the last figures: 2 x 8 = 16 to
get the last part of the answer.
Practise some:
1) 43 x 47
2) 24 x 26
3) 62 x 68
4) 17 x 13
5) 59 x 51
6) 77 x 73

well..these were only some methods of fast multiplication.
well..if u r really interested in knowing more...U can mail me at
[email protected] !!
I would definerely giveu some articles and also teach U !!
till then bye

...
34*45=30*45+30*5
30*45 = 45*3*10
5836*8844=
11672*4422=
23344*2211=
x*x=(x - a) * (x + a) + a^2
These are just a few of the things I taught myself in Junior High... almost everyone else in my class needs a calculator for 5*8(someone answered 45 to that LOL!)
5*8 = 10 * 8 / 2
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

i dont know if you have an error on the first example alkatran
30 * 45 = 1350
34 * 45 + 30 * 5 = 1680
prasadkowli, thats cool, i read something like that but it only
talked about squaring numbers that ended with 5
25 × 25 = 625 2 × 3 = 6 25 <-- but you always add 25 @ the end
35 × 35 = 1225 3 × 4 = 12 25 <-- same
i was going to post this, but then i noticed that its the same thing
from youros

Good Ol' Platypus
I think that website, "Dr. Math" or something along those lines has a whole bunch of multiplication and division shortcuts.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)
