    Pixels and Graphics (Confused)

    Hmm i am confused

A screen diaplays in Pixels e.g 800 X 600 this means 800 Color dots Left and 600 Down.

If this is the case then how come we can measure in twips and move something in twips, it visibly moves as well so doesn't this mean that multiple colours can be in each pixel?????

No... Although we measure in twips, there are not lots of extra "mini-pixels", objects are just moved to the most appropriate pixel.

It seems strange, but bear in mind that other devices (eg: printers) have different settings to monitors for display size - and the number of dots per twip/cm etc can vary greatly. Twips are just a way of getting things to work as accurately as possible for a variety of output devices.

the most annoying thing in vb is that twip is the default scalemode!

The .NET platform "fixes" this behaviour.
