Multiple notifications (sometimes)

Has anybody else experienced this?

Over night I received 4 email notifictions of postings to
'Poor Code vs. Good Code' even though I didn't re-visit the thread.

This has happend a few times recently.

It's not causing me any problems I just thought I would let you know there seems to be a hiccup in the code!

I have the same problem, although it is not really a problem the message itself says that it should not be happening ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the you will recieve E-mail regardless of how many times you visit a thread. Once you check it, you will continue to get mail every time someone replies.

From any of the email I get.


There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the thread.

This should not be happening, but also, the email should really say 'There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the board.' Note the use of board, not thread.

This is something that I will have to look into.

It could be the board/thread thing, as i post most of my mesages at work, i do revisit the board without looking at my email first, so maybe i already had one, revisited the board and got another one.

Haven't got an example for you John, but some threads only generate 1 reply, others generate multiple replies.

As other's have stated not really a major problem.....
