how could i use that box dialog that this flag produces but not allow multiselect

You want to use the flag but not get the effects of the flag?

You can make that box yourself using drive, directory and file list boxes, but why would you want that it is windows 3.1 style.

If you remove the flag, the common dialog box will no longer allow multiple selection. That is the only thing that flag does so you don't need to wory about removing it.
