DVD on CD Player
I have a DVD. Is there any software that can be installed so that my CD ROM drive can read it and play the movie?

No, unless that software changes the laser of the CDROM drive . What would be the point of getting a DVD-ROM drive if you could?

DVD's
Hi Mendhak
Just to let you know...
DVD's @ 16x are only £25, so it's hardly breaking the bank.
If you have a m8 with a DVD drive (and this is only for education purposes only ), get 'CladDVD' and rip the DVD to a VCD, which WILL play on your CD - Rom.
Regards,
Paul.

Great suggestion, I think that should work for me
BTW, how much does a DVD drive cost? And a DVD Burner?

Hi Again
As posted before & you quoted (lol)... DVD's are £25 Inc VAT, and DVD burners start at £199 Inc VAT.
Wouldn't recommend a DVD-R/RW though... it costs just as much for the discs, as it does to buy the DVD in the first place.
Feel free to give me a call for further details, and i'll gladly help if i can. Best call me on the mobile though, as i'm moving offices over the next few weeks... so the numbers won't be migrated until its all finished.
Regards,
Paul.

How much is £25 in American money?`, Last time I checked, blank DVD's were like 30.00 each and burners were about 500.00, but that was a while ago, also they were slow as ****, I think 2x.

£25 in English Pounds is around $37.50 American Dollars... depends on the exchange rate at time of order really. It's usually 1.5 dollars to £1, roughly. Oh... and these are 48x12x50 (dead quick)
Regards,
Paul.
