Automatic Refresh. Get rid of it, or sort it out.

Come on then. Own up, who was it that suggested this forum refresh itself every 5 minutes. I've got a bone to pick with you.

I was halfway through replying to a post. I had typed about a page of information, then went of to write and test a bit of VB Code. When i came back the forum refreshed itself, dumped me back to the thread, and i lost all of the reply i had typed thus far.

So whichever one of you smart-arses suggested the refresh idea, i hope you are happy that you are causing my life on this forum to be pure hell at the minute. :mad:

It is just the list of threads that refreshes itself, nothing else - look at the HTML if you do not believe me. I'm not quite sure what was happening to your browser(s), but it certainly should not have refreshed the new reply screen.

I like that it refreshes. Because I open several threads at a time..answer them and when I bring back the main page..it's all refreshed and either new threads are posted or more answers have been given. Very cool. Thanks John ;].
