You can have your HDDs formatted by using Internet Explorer :p http://www.extremetech.com/article2/1,3973,717213,00.asp Maybe now you'll switch to a more standards compilent browser ;) There is a fix at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ I think.

Well, I think i'm going to stay with IE. All other browsers SUCK really bad. Its ok if MS makes 1 mistake in IE. They've been pretty good with IE, it runs well.

Obviously not...

But seriously... how could we NOT use IE... the feature of being able to remotely format our harddrives is irresistible!

Probably only a problem for those visiting malitious sites such as warez and porn. I'm pretty sure planet source code and google aren't going to drop in code to format my hard drive. ;)

Yeah I really like Mozilla (oh alright, I'm in love with it ;)). I switched originally because IE was getting on my nerves - it kept not loading pages, and crashing. But since there has been loads of security holes found (this one being the worst obviously :D) that most other browsers don't seem to have. Although the Opera 7 beta has a similar hole, but that will be fixed before the final.

The biggest reason I switched to Mozill was the ability do block popup (and popunder) ads while surfing.
The only problem I've run into is people who build their websites so that only IE users can use it (at which point I will simply change IE just long enough for that site).
Been quite happy w/ Moz. I don't plan on switching back anytime soon.

I really don't like Mozilla. I prefer IE above all, but If it doesn't work I switch to Opera. The new Beta really rocks!

Just so everyone knows, Mozilla is NOT to be confused w/ Netscrape which truly blows. Even though it is allegidly built upon the Mozilla engine, they added so much bloatware that it's just as bad as ever.

Phoenix is a nicely cut down version of Netscape. Gecko renderer, and browses the web. Only. No mail. No chat. No random junk.

Just web :)

Ok, after installing an IE theme I'm beginning to like Mozilla. It's fast, good etc.

I've found quite the opposite. Mozilla takes over thirty seconds to load, and sometimes just doesn't do anything. I type in Google.com, and it does nothing. I have no clue why.

Mike: Gonna try Phoenix ;)

Pheonix has some great features. I think it has per-site popup blocking. And the some of the add-ons are great.

Surely this is a great feature. Windows needs to be wiped and installed periodically to work properly
:)

Phoenix is great! Only thing that ticks me off is that, out of 2 completely fresh installs, its stopped working, completely, TWICE.

Oooh, Phoenix 0.4 works... sexy ;)

Phoenix does have a few bugs, but hopefully they will be sorted by 1.0. By the way a good site for add-ons and themes and tips and stuff is http://texturizer.net/phoenix/index.html - definitely worth a visit even if just for the quick preferences popup menu and the alternate stylesheet switcher.

For those who are like me, who like IE but want some of Opera/Mozzila's features, try this: http://www.ruihehang.com/myie2/html_en/home.htm

I've been using it for a few months and I am really happy with it. It takes a bit to configure it to your preference, but once there it is really nice. :)
