    Win2000 - Keyboard not Working

    Have a Win2000 computer which was having .NET loaded, on a reboot the Keyboard does not work so cannot Ctrl-Alt-Del to logon, safe mode doesn't work, but when booting until Win2000 beigins to load the keyboard works fine.


    Anyone havre any bright ideas.

    I'm not really a big user of Win 2000, but can't you go into a sort of safe mode and remove .NET, or at least play around with things? I seem to remember you can press F8 or something at startup for advanced options.

    I had a similar problem after loading drivers for a new keyboard, in the end the only thing that worked was booting from the Win2000 CD and doing a repair.. some programs stopped working tho

    Presume you have one of those honkey dory internet keyboard thingies that require drivers etc to work ... tsk ...


    Did you reload the keyboard drivers after installing Win2k?

    .net is problematic on Win2k imo, hate to do it but would suggest trying XP We have a couple of puters not attached to our lans running .net on xp and they rock along with no problems.

    What's the CPU etc...
