i want to show an animated gif, using gif89a but i dont want the app to read the gif as a file in the computer, instead i want the gif to be a part of the exe so for example nobody can delete the gif or change it. how do i do it?

There is a control that holds images for the ToolBar control. I just can't think of what it is called. Research
Toolbars in the help files.

i dont use a toolbar..

Resource file
Put the image in a resource file or in an imagelist. That should solve the problem.
