    Creating rotating globe

    Hi,

    I have a question: Say I want to make a rotating globe, in a picturebox for example, how would I start. In the end I want it to rotate like when I say "America" the globe rotates until America is on top, but that's for later. First how should I make a globe that can rotate? Should I use DirectX, or some animated picture?

    you could use both ways, but i think it would be easier to use directx because if you use animated pictures, it would be hard to say how the pics should move for each country

    So then I should create a sprite of the globe? Any idea? I'm not a real DX expert

    im not good with dx either but you could make a simple globe in a 3d program with an earth material.
