    TGA to 3DS or .X converter

    Hi,

    Can anybody tell me or direct me to how to convert TGA file format to 3DS or .X ...

    how do you convert a 2d picture to a 3d model?

    Well

    Was that an answer or a question...
    Well I assume it be an answer...

    I have downloaded from microsoft sit to convert 3ds files to .X files. But I have many tga files .. ( I got it from Motor Cycle Madness).. I thought that i could load that image on to my application...

    Well Please let me know if there is any method to go about..

    3ds files are 3d models, and X files are also 3d models, but TGA files are flat 2d pictures which cannot be converted to 3d!
    maybe if you use bumpmaps or something similar that tells the depth to the converter...
    but i dont know how to do that, sorry.
