Getting to underlying record when click MSHFlexGrid

As I work for a charity cannot buy specialist controls - hence:-

Does anyone have code examples which allow the underlying record/field to be located when user clicks on MSHFlexGrid?
This would need to take account of closing and opening bands in heirarchical recordsets.
