Connecting Win2k Pro to Win2k Pro
I have two systems with Windows 2k professional edition installed on both.
I install LAN cards into both systems and connect the two systems with a crossover cable. I can see the other system through the Explorer, but when I click on it to browse it, I get a pop-up message:
========================
<Computer Name> is not accessable
Network path was not found
OK
========================
Both systems are assigned static IPs. And both systems can not browse each other.
Anybody had this problem before?

No, they can't ping. It's pretty crazy. They are connected and NICs are installed and IPs are set.
Any ideas?

Could you post the results of "ipconfig \all" from both computers? (Mask any Ip addresses or Names that you want to keep hidden, of course).

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

They're not in the same subnet, which could be confusing. Try giving them the IPs 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 (give .0.1 to the one, if any, which might be running ICS).
