    Question what is DCOM

    Hi

    A very simple question from me...

    I have used ActiveX EXE and DLLs. I think that is what we call COM. ie. I have the dlls on client PC and objects are instanciated on same PC and its interfaces are used.

    So what is DCOM ? Is it so that DLL is registered on some other PC and we try to declare objects from those dlls ?

    Can anyone tell me whats DCOM and how I can try it from VB ?
