    What it .mim file extension?

Somebody sent me some files with .mim as the file extension. I downloaded & unzippped them about a week ago, and got interrupted before trying to check them out.

I have nothing that processes or views these files. I no longer have the email they were attached to, so I cannot query who ever sent them.

What are they? Where do I find some program to view or process them?

Why don't you try opening them in a text editor and see if anything comes up. If that doesn't work try an art package or a media player. That's what I do when I don't know what files are, sometimes they work, or can set you on the right track.

Or mim doesn't stand for MIME, like the thing used for multipart e-mail?

    I'd suggest a hex editor.
