Why I can't call UpdateData from my function ?

I prepared a sample code with MFC wizard(EXE). I learned to user UpdateData to refresh form controls. I wrote my function and I needed to assign a text to form. But I could not gain acces to control variables and I could not use UpdateData. What is wrong ?
