A quick poll
Do any of you think it would be sick of me to suggest that a memorial should be constructed for commemorate 9/11 - a statue of a woman falling to her death?

Well, they seem to want to remember, so lets discuss.
Building a memorial seems pretty apt for the occassion - building a statue of a woman falling to her death is either a chronically ironic statement, or pure idiocy...

I'm all for remembering but the "falling woman at the moment of impact" statue was a bit over the edge. If the artist's sister was raped would they create a bronze statue of her medical exam?

If she is to "commemorate those who jumped or fell to their deaths from the World Trade Center", why is she naked?

I think that the remnants that still stood up right should've been preserved, cast in bronze or whatever and turned into a monument. God knows where they are now ...

The Discovery Channel ran a special on a firm that was present during the entire clean up phase. They decided what would be kept and moved it out to a storage facility at JFK airport. It was quite interesting what made it through undamaged. They also have the portion of the building you are talking about but had to cut into pieces so it could be moved.
