I believe in ghosts.
I have actually seen and heard a real ghost..
I almost pissed in my pants....

I was about 9 years old, and I was in the battlefields of gettysburg, there was a little shack, it looked interesting, I was hoping maybe I would find some civil war weapons in there, soooo, I went in, and inside there was an odd looking transparent figure I didnt stick around long. while I was stumbling for the door, I heard a wierd noise... then I got out...

this may sound like a crock of ****, but its not.. it really happened...

I saw a Discovery Channel doc stating that, at least in the US, more than 50% of people do believe in ghosts!

Okay, this is a serious comment. Why are people afarid of ghosts? or afarid of Cryptozoology (big-foor, sea-monsters etc.)? Going back to ghosts, you know they can't hurt you or touch you so why are people afarid of them?

Is it fear of the Unknown?

I have wondered about that as well. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me for people to be afraid of something which can’t have direct effect on them. But here's my two cents: I think people are more scared that ghosts have the ability hurt them say by possession, or telekinetic phenomena. I'll bet however that fear of the unknown is one of the major reasons.

If it's ghosts you want, go to Mary King's Close in Edinburgh.

If you don't believe in ghosts before you go in, you will when you come back out.
