I have just read a few first chapters about a VB.NET. The topic that came to my interest is about the .NET Framework. It's theory is like you can run any applications done in VStudio.Net languages on any platform as long as that platform has a .NET Framework installed on that platform.

I think this sounds like JAVA technology to me. Is Microsoft trying to put Sun Microsystems out of business. If Microsoft will take full blast with this, they will definitely have a great advantage over Suns. First there are over millions of VStudio programmers out there which in time will migrate to .Net programming. And VStudio development speed is much faster compared to JAVA.

I am just wondering, what will Sun Microsystems going to do about this? Well just as I have said it's just my opinion. Tnx
