I had really bad luck with hardware last weekend. I hope you guys don't mind me venting a little.
My little brother came home from college and wanted to use the family computer for homework. He couldn't get it to turn on, so he calls me to look at it, and the switch on the back on the power supply is off. So I flip it, and turn the computer on, and the power supply blows with a puff of smoke out the back. I removed it and take it apart - the 115V is okay, one of the capacitators exploded inside. It was a generic 250W one, luckily, NewEgg had a 300W Enlight for US$35 shipped that I could replace it with.
Second, my "workshop" spare monitor went - a KDS Flat CRT 17" that IMHO has a better picture quality than a lot of other monitors in its budget price range. It started making noises and giving off a smell, then stopped working entirely. It's still under warranty, but I have to pay for shipping to send it back :(
