Aol instant messenger and a databse [help me!]

ok my idea is, since my cell phone has aim i want to be able to message my pc from my cellphone with a 'find' command and the 'prog' will then look for the specific keywords from a list and aim me back the results to my cellphone

That's a cool idea! Do you just want to hook off AIM on your pc? and (really stupid ?) are you using two different screen id's?

yeah two seperate ones, but the only people that want to help me want 12 dollars an hour for a code, if i was paying for it, i woudltn want it, JEWS

um...just look up the toc protocol, learn some client /server tcp/ip concepts(winsock is an easy way to start with in vb) and you should be fine.
