Well, while doing a little testing of my game console class, I came up with this nifty little utility. Essentially, It allows you to create and modify binary files on your computer.

Type "?" or "help" for... help. It IS case sensitive =).

Please post source code, or zip it up, whatever.
Sounds neat, but anyone with 1/2 a brain, ain't gonna
run a mystery exe on their machine.

    Thanks

I guess I have less than half of a brain cos I ran it (as far as I can tell it is safe) . Normaly I know better than to do it but Zaei has helped me before (via this board) and unless someone was being sneaky and stealing his username, I didn't think he would do anything malicous.

I'm off to GalahTech, hope to see you there.

I would, but the actual console code itself is a bit secret, at least until the game is finished. At that point, Ill post the code if you like =).

It is actually unsafe, if you, say, try to write over some system file or another. Beyond user screwups, its safe =).

    Hehe,

Well, perhaps I should have said
"you will get a lot more help if you post the source code,
most people don't run source code from unknown sources."

and if you trust him, then by all means goforit. I don't know
zaei, other than chit chat posts, so I ain't gonna do it.
Besides there have been a couple of unscrupulous (sp?) persons
    posting in these forums.

    glad you found it useful.
    Merry Christmas
