Using DAO data control on Windows 2000

When deploying an application which uses a DAO data control (used to bind a grid to) where the recordset property is set to an DAO 3.6 recordset (for Access 2000) returns an empty recordset on a Windows 2000 machine. On the development station (also Windows 2000) where VB6 is installed on it does work without any problems. I don not find any articles related to this problem. Can any body give me a hint!!!

Do you have Jet 4.0 files to work with DAO 3.6 type library? May be development machine has jet 4.0 or MDAC installed?
