*RESOLVED!!!! *Is there a way to fully uninstall MSNMSG in WINXP?!!!!

It's driving me crazy!!!!!!! Every time that I go to hotmail, MSN messenger (or the socalled stupid windows messenger) loads and then it adds itself to startup!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
MONOPOLY!!!!!!! STUPID MICROSOFT!!!!!
What the hell! I dont want the stupid messenger, how can I remove it?!!?!?!:mad:

I made a post about half a year ago regarding this. However, when you try and search there is a database problem. So when its up and running, try and find it :)

WinXP SP1 should allow ytou to uninstall things that come included (thats for the US justice dept.)

About the XP SP1 thingie, I never knew there is a service pack for it. Where can I get it?!! I cant find it anywhere.

WinXP SP1 isnt out yet, or at least not officially. Try searching for it, a few FTP sites have it for download.

Once its out, i suspect windowsupdate.microsoft.com will have it.

Just delete the registry entry that starts it
IIRC, it'll be in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\run somewhere.

well I use MSN too:) the thing is that I dont like the damn stupid program to "run by itself" like a stupid popup whenever I go to hotmail..... I use trillian to talk to people on MSN and so I dont really like to use the MSN Messenger.... that's why it was really annoying:)
