MS have a book available now for VB.NET and C#. They come in two flavors, Web and Desktop. I forgot the name but they are for the MCADs. They cost $70.
I'll be picking up the C# Desktop version this weekend

I bought two of the MS books for the exams. The Windows one and the Web one:

The Windows app book kind of starts at the beginning of using VS.Net and guides you through more of the basics.
The Web one starts out assuming you already know the basics, and proceeds from there.
Both books give examples in VB and C# one after the other. This would help if your learning both languages.
I haven't gotten through them too much yet, so I can't give you a fair opinion just yet, but what I think so far is that the books are a little thin on explaining things in detail. To be fair though, they are cert books, not detailed 'how to' books, so the quickness might be just right.
