Hi lejohn

I wrote a program ages ago that works a bit like Winpopup, except it stays in the system tray as opposed to having to be open on the taskbar like winpopup. You can have a copy if you like. It needs a little refinement (some situations cause it to crash and I didn't have the time to fix it!)

If you want a true chat type one though, you will need to search around here I think, or try http://www.planetsourcecode.com. I think that is where I got an example someone made which worked quite well but I dunno where it's gone...! I'll have a look for you...

hello again..

I've located the chat program i downloaded over a year ago(!!). From what I remember it worked perfectly on my network and was the basis of my own project as mentioned above. The page is at http://sourcecode.8m.com/schoolChat/index.html . From here you can select any of the download sites, it takes about 2 seconds to download.

Hope this helps :)
