I liked the search big and bold in the center. Why not make it like VB World where you can choose the forums to search from. Make the default VB forum. That's usually the olny reason I go to "advanced" search. Who wants matches from ChitChat etc.?
I wouldn't mind a bit of phtochop on the logo. The design is very "flat" but maybe a little shaping/shading on the globe and fancing finacynin fnacy...making the the "vb forums" title a bit more fancy would sort of swing.
