The Glass

Some say the glass is half empty, some say the glass is half full, which is it? Half empty or half full?

I say the glass is 2 times as big as it needs to be.

It's a big glass...I use it for beer. :)

What happened directly before you drew the picture of the glass?

Was the glass being "filled up"?

Or was the glass left to stand so that it "evaporated"?


The glass was not initially constructed with liquid in it therefor the glass must have started being "HALF FULL"... but if it HAD been filled up at some point then you could now consider the glass to be "HALF EMPTY".


Everyone keeps saying that this statement determines if you are an optimist OR a pesimist... I say they are IGNORANT.

The statement simply designates whether you consider the movement of the level of liquid inside to be increasing or decreasing.

Its all about "PERSPECTIVE"...

If I were someone who said "The glass is ALWAYS EMPTY" then wouldn't I call someone who says "The glass is HALF EMPTY" an optimist? Yet we don't.

An Optimist calls a Realist a Pesimist
And a Pesimist calls a Realist an Optimist

But the REALIST has never changed.
