I have just started to learn VB and am curious to know what kinds of jobs are associated with VB.

What kind of jobs? Basically you make programs (in teams or individually) and you have to hand them in before the deadline.

It's actually over rated.
Good place to get computer hardware, Software is all Japanese versions though. Bad place for computer books (Thank god for Amazon.com)
Too crowded, subway is a nightmare
the money is good though 
...as for getting layed... well, I'll leave that description for a different type of forum
