[Suspicious Voice]How do you know it tastes salty?[/Suspicious Voice]

simon, rememebr that thread about food we got into a few months ago - well I ventured into you manor last weekend (actually more "terrorised country folk by driving waaaay too quickly" ratehr tahn ventured)
I see what you meanabout some pub food being really good stuff - we had one or two nice meals in pubs - but I tell you there aer some pubs riding on the coat tails of these nice places, and they sell pure rubbish....

well, not exactly your area (you're Devon, aren't you?) - we were around exmoor, Minehead etc.
Some lovely pubs, and 2 had great food with local produce.... but therin lies the problem - you can't get a bloody table for dinner or sunday lunch. So unfortunately we ended up eating at a vvvv similar looking pub, but the food was terrible....
I'm a bit of a convert of great pub food now though
May go down again, may need 1-2 recommendations from you....

That's right, I'm in the Exeter area and I'm not too familiar with Minehead.
The best places can get booked up and, if you just want to turn up on the day, you've got to get there unfashionably early.
I would seriously recommend getting hold of a good pub guide before you next come down. You get the phone numbers so you can book ahead to guarantee a seat at the best places.
If you're in my area then I'll happilly give you some recommendations.
I'm a bit of a convert of great pub food now though
Yep, when it's good; it's good!

on the first part of the A21 you could get those speeds but as soonas you hit tumbridge wells, it's single lane all the way down and if you get stuck behind a lorry, you're buggered
