Ok, i have a rich text box and when the key ENTER is pressed i want to take the string that the caret is on and put that in variable A$. Then i have some code that would make some changes to the string. Then i want to put that string back where it was with the new changes. How would i do this?

writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
writing haskell makes your life easier:
reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
