Why does it only work in VB environment?
I am using VB 5 Pro, using it with Win95, 24MB RAM, etc.
I am developing voice interactive software which works perfectly when I run the program(s) in VB. However, when I create an .exe or setup I find that text to speech works fine but voice recognition will not work at all. I have the Speech API, Text to Voice engine, and the Voice Recognition engine (all from Microsoft) installed. I have copied the vtext.dll and the Xvoice.dll to both /windows/system folder and the folder containing the program...nothing has seemed to help...any suggestions??

I guess that is what is confusing me...I have not registered either of the files (vtext.dll or Xvoice.dll), only installed them. Why one works and not the other is confusing me.
