Hi
Can anyone tell me some good books or websites on the space/subspace topic?
And out of curiosity, I'd really love to know how these space/subspace concepts are applied in real life. So far I can only find theories and calculations on those subject, and no one talks about how these things can be applied in real life!

Sorry, I didn't realize you were serious.
Is subspace a valid scientific concept? It seems to me to be
purely fictional, and I'd entertain a discussion on it in terms of its
role in the ST Universe.
Perhaps you can convince me it actually has a truly scientific
definition, something beyond meaningless catchphrases and
buzzwords.

Maybe he means something analogous to sets and subsets?

It's a definite possibility.

You asked -- please note that a lot of math nomenclature is ultra-specific - we really did not know whart you meant
J Loveland (Rutgers University) did some research using vector spaces to map the changes in frequencies for a given allele in a population. They mapped very well. I cannot cite the papers, since they date from 1975 - Journal of Population Bio. (I think- it's only 27 years ago :D) Not on the web :D
I am given to believe that vector spaces also are used rather broadly in studying gene frequencies in non-sympatric populations. Loveland told me so. ..... 27 years ago.
Life sucks and then you get old. Make sure yours doesn't do the same.
