Hi,
has anyone used COM+ to host a dll and distribute VB client software over a network. I have tried this and when I try to use the msi file it returns an error saying I require a new version of msiexec.exe.
I was wondering if the issue is related to the fact that I am hosting the component on a w2k machine, and distributing to NT workstation. Personally I think this is not the case, so I tried to copy my more recent version of msiexec.exe and msi.dll to a winnt workstation box, but it refused to copy.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this?
MSKB was not useful.
