boot sequence wont start
my friend is paying me to fix his computer but i cant figure out the problem. The computer powers up fine and all that but as soon as it finishes loading the Bios it just stops and the boot sequence wont start. Any ideas?

Have you checked the PSU?

does it check the ram etc?
if it does POST and stuff it might be the operating system.
any error messages or u get a black screen of nothing?

Rip the lid, and gently push down on the memory chips and cards, sometimes they work themselves out....

If it passed the POST, check your BIOs and see if it can detect the harddisk properly to boot up.
If thats ok, check if your harddisk is loaded with an OS.
Try downloading a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com and see if the system boots up properly, if it does, the problems stated above should be the cause.
