virus? did i create...
I've been working on an encryption program lately, basic stuff... rearrange... change etc. itll open text files and rewrite them with encrypted data... only one problem.... if i run it on a exe (this
happened by accident btw) it kindof ruins it, causes error... even if i run it o the sortcut to the exe!!
Is this considered a virus? (it doesnt search for them)
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

Only if it runs w/out the user knowing it distorying exes.
To some people, it might be considered a trojen, therefore if you release it I would include a note to not run it on exes...
But other then that, no.

And besides, encrytion programs are meant to make files or text useless. Now it would be better if you modified it so that if you encrytied an exe you could decryt it.
I would guess that sience the program messes up exes that it woun't work on rtf or doc or many other files. You might wish to extend the range of vaild characters to the full 255 set.

it does...
it doe take all 255 chars... well 252, cause it raises all chars by 3 when encrypting, and it's mainly a text encryption thing. it takes the string and plays with it....
right now it just rearranges and raises it... 2 funcitos i have for it wont work gotta fix em...

Due to the fact that it doesn't take the 3 highest characters, it would be impossible to decrypt an exe, or other data file.
And no, a virus dettor wouldn't pick up on it being virus, becuase it isn't.
