Package & Development Wizard. Again!

An error occurs when installing the application using the setup created by Package and Deployment Wizard on CERTAIN MACHINES.
During the installation, Setup copies files to the “temp” directory and prompts that certain files need to be updated. When it starts updating those files, it reports an error “Can not find source file. The file could not be installed”. It indicates a temp file in “C:\windows\temp” directory. Then the installation aborts.
The size of the temp file is 0 bytes. Hence there seems to be some problem in the installation.
We have tried restarting the machine, checked the hard disk space ( we have around 5 GB in the c: drive ). The same setup application works on few other machines. The OS involved is Win95.

I have had a ridiculous number of problems with the P&D wizard.

In the end I have up and downloaded Visual Installed from the Microsoft site. It works so much better and you dont get errors.

Personally that is what I would recommend you do, it only takes 10 mins to understand Visual Installer, it is very good and your installations will be so much easier from now on.
