    Can anyone explain me what exactly ad-hoc query is or where I can find the information?

    Any help would be really appriciated.

    Ad hoc just means that the query is created 'on-the-fly', as opposed to one that was previously created and stored utilizing the same return fields, sort, and criteria each time.
