Just started....

Hello-
I just began an interest in Visual Basic
when I came accross a sample program
on a site.
I know HTML, JavaScript, Java, and Perl
but I would like to begin learning
visual basic -however from what I gathered
I needed some platform, or something.
Really all I could figure out was to make
a MsgBox = "something".
I even had to download Wscript for that.
Where should I get started?

I am also new to VB from what i understand of your Question i think you need to get a version of Visual Basic to even start to learn how to program in Vb,that is your platform if i understood your question correctly
