can someone please explain to me the exact process of editing a web page named Webpage.html after logged into a telnet session from a remote computer. Lets say that the webpage.html is in the directory c:\windows\desktop\web page\webpage.html. I have already logged in to my system with telnet, and i have the following prompt: <c:\windows> What do i do (As specific as possible, with the least technical jargon pleas) Thankyou in advance

The answer is you probably can't edit the file in telnet.
In order to do it you would need a text oriented editor. Edit is not a text oriented editor. Edlin is, but I think it went away with Win 3.1. You could ask that vi be installed because that should work with telnet, but you'd have to learn how to use vi. Vi, BTW, is a common unix editor, but there has been at least one free port of it to win32.
