I have messed all day with the datagrid control trying to bind it to an oracle database table, and it almost works like 'walkthroughs' say. I've found two walkthroughs, one called displaying data in a web forms page, and one called using a datagrid web control to read and write data, like I said in the subject this is visual studio .net. I can get all the way to preview data under the Data menu and see the record I want but invariably at compile/run time I get a TNS server error, I can TNS ping the database, like I said I see the record in preview data I expect to end up in my datagrid but the .Fill method won't execute, TNS error!

WAAAA!!!!

Have any of you done this with the OleDBdataAdapter wizzard, OledbdataConnection and dataset? It is soo close, and I'm going nutz. I feel better already, responses will be appreciated.
