Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

Where'd you think they get the money to maintain the software/networks from?
I like DC++ (Direct Connect client) - definitely no spyware because it's got the source available

I just started using eDonkey. Combined with www.sharereactor.com it seems pretty damn good Takes ages to find a server it can connect to though. Is that just me?

Harry, I must admit, that I've only used it briefly this evening as I'm waiting for my adsl to be finished, but from what my friends have been saying that edonkey plus share reactor is pretty damn good

I was going to get Edonkey until I found out that the milk crate was an optional extra so I went for a more reachable Egoat.

I use edonkey. It's pretty darn good. Has almost all the files but most of the time it takes ages to connect to a user to download a file. But if you are lucky, it can download at about 100KB/S on my Cable which is pretty good compared to Morpheus.
DC is also pretty good but it doesn't have that much stuff on it and most of the time, the user you want to download from doesn't have an extra slots. Its download/upload speed is pretty good though.

share reactor gives you a list of the most recent files and an Edonkey link which automatically sends the file to edonkey to download
