Connecting to the Internet

I looked in the Internet->Tips section of this site, but the code it gave me to didn't work. I tried fiddling around with it but I couldn't get it to work.

Is there another way to start an Internet connection without shelling rundll.exe?

add a web browser control into your project, then get it to naviagate to something, it will then force the user to connect to the internet..
